Lorenzo Zuppelli and Stefan van Jole founded Woub in 2018 after a series of frustrations, setbacks and an experience that brought Lorenzo close to burnout. When his father’s contracting business nearly went bankrupt, his father asked Lorenzo for help. Everyone at the company had lost their enjoyment of work. 

Poor communication between colleagues caused mounting frustration, while mistakes on site pushed up the costs of errors and rework day by day. The company was constantly playing catch-up. Working in the office as a construction project coordinator, Lorenzo experienced the pressure first-hand. Eventually it all became too much, and he came close to burnout. He felt like a complete failure. 

Lorenzo refused to give up. Instead, he turned the frustrations, problems and stressful moments into motivation. He put all his time and energy into finding a genuinely simple way for everyone to communicate. It worked: his father’s company became profitable again, and the employees rediscovered the enjoyment of their work.
